100 max upgrades
by DazeOfTheWeak (Watch for feedback, Add to favorites)

This is my first mod, and a simple one. It raises the max amout of upgrades from 3 to 100, making games that last longer more interesting. It also decreases the time for all upgrades by half.

It bascially just makes upgrading more of a key factor, you have to keep up with everyone else.

Hehe... yeah... they can get really expensive later on, I kept the cost and the factor cost the same...

If I'd have left the time as it was, they would have taken way too long too...

I dunno ... it just looks like to me you didn't put a lot of time into this, really. Seeing as how the changes you made could have been done in pretty much a minute, I'm kind of unsatisfied on this. However, it being your first mod, that gives you a bit of leniency.

Thus: Average.

I wasn't shooting for anything big (however I have been experimenting with some things). This is more meant to be played with other mods (via MPQ Draft) or just as a small change to be played with friends.

It's nothing special.
My map editor of choice, StarCraft Xtra Editor, can go up to 255 and change cost and research time.

Since I can do this in an editor I'm not gonna vote.

Based on how it makes longer games much more interesting and leaves something to be done other than massing units, I'm giving this exceptional. Whether or not other people can make this mod, no one did, and I'd only want to go to a hundred anyway. Good job, out of maybe ten mods I downloaded, this is the only one I've kept.

Meh i think that this mod would be better if it went up to a smaller number, like say, 25. (note to players) If you play this mod, its recommendable that you use another mod with it (since this mod isn't much on its own).

However... on the whole and by itself it isn't very good. But since its your first mod (and it doesn't crash, bug, or other annoying things), i ll give you AVG.

You can do it with anything but StarEdit rather?

Seems very slipshot to me.

I'm not voting....

At least this mod got through the mod(erator)....

We don't need to go to Starforge/Xtra editor stuff to go change it if we don't download it.....

Wait couldn't you submit this as a map instead?

I think the good thing about this mod is that it applies the upgrade options to any map you play. Like many have said, yes, it's very easy to recreate the effect for any specific map with an advanced third-party editor. This mod, however, eliminates the hassle and makes the changes universal.

I vote "Good".

hey irishfolk...u might have to reinstall starcraft for it to find that file...if u do...u need 2 make sure when u uninstall it u dont delete any of the saved games or profiles and such...it could be bad if that happened lol

but...its a good mod just cuz noone else has made it yet,it doesnt crash or have bugs or any of that annoying stuff, and its a pretty good idea to start simple when modding.

i give it an exceptional
