Unburrowing Lurker
by SgtShroom (Watch for feedback, Add to favorites)

After my zergling sketch i decided to draw a Lurker. The idea behind this one is that he's reemerging from his underground hideout. There are less detailed pictures of lurkers and they're a lot harder to draw so there are probably a lot of parts that aren't true to the original SC design.

It's not exactly to the SC1 design as you said, but it still looks nice. The face has a nice look to it, so the lurker as a whole ends up looking pretty good. It sort of looks like its coming out of water though because the ground around it isn't all pushed up and cracking except for a little bit, push up the groundmore and that'd be awesome. It's still nice though; I like it. Good.

PS: The hoot/hump/back area is a bit bulky and odd looking, it shouldn't come forward at the same place as the frill, it should be at more of an angle and stuff like a hydra's.

It is nicely done. Yes, as UZ said it needs more contrast, but still it looks good. The main big flaw is that you made the back carapace way to big. Just try to make that smaller and a bit narrower and the your fine.

-= GOOD =-

Thanks
I'll try to make the hood a bit smaller. I'm afraid the lawk of contrast has more to do with the type of pencils I used, I only used H pencils, no B's.

@MoH: I was afraid somebody would mention the ground looking more like water, but I have an excuse for that: it's in fact very very loose soil

The scene of thi Hydra is Excep. Only a few lines to make the picture more detailed and of course the landscape is a little bit poor try to draw something nice.

La escena del Hydra es Excep. Solo faltan hacer unas lineas mas para hacer el dibujo mas detalado y por supuesto el fondo es un poco pobre intenta dibujar algo nice.

Good---more draw---->Escp.

@SgtHK, yeah it's in a desert, or something like that.

@TOOL, landscape is indeed a bit poor, I'm always kinda worried that if I ad a background to my drawings that I'll ruin them. (Well that and I'm lazy)
Oh btw, is your nickname perhaps a referecne to the super awesome band TOOL?
