I've really put some effort into making this map look good. From doodads and triggers to character dialogue. So I'd appreciate if you would download it and tell me what you think of it.

This mission is set in the beginning of Brood War Protoss campaign. It tells the story of Brood War from the perspective of Jim Raynor and Fenix. You need to help Fenix and Jim Raynor defend the Protoss Warp Gate by capturing an ancient Protoss fortress and defending it against the Zerg. This is just one map but I hope to make a whole campaign (if there is interest), explaining the other side of the Brood War story. So if you like the map please send some feedback.

This is a fun map, but I have a question... How do you kill the hives with like two battle cruisers and five wraiths?!

Glad you like it guys. I'm gonna submit a new version now - gonna add a whole new set of triggers, new music and tweak a few things to nake the map bit more balanced.

Btw you need to combine Terran reinforcement with the Protoss army to take out the purple Zerg and establish a Terran base there.

QUESTION!!!!!

In this map, you have 2 AI scripts for some of the Zerg so that they can mine in different places. In a map I made, I did the same thing, when I play the map, the Zerg run all over the map and mess everything up!!!!

I have the same problem. The comp starts building the base from scratch even tho they already have all the buildings. I think you should run only 1 AI script per player.

The beginning seems a bit like BW mission 1, as in Terrain. : ]

Also, if you're planning to make this a whole campaign (I'd be glad to help if you wanted to, seeing as I'm ditching my [unreleased] Aftermath campaign anyway), I'd suggest you take out the use of offensive air units in this map, because the terrain on the upper levels looks a bit bland and missions should go from easier to harder; taking out air units makes it less complex.

Of course, it's your map.

A bit more pressing: I'm pretty sure Aldaris went with Artanis and Zeratul through the Warp Gate, since he later caused an insurrection there. The one in the Mission Briefing should be Raynor, so you'd have to change the entire text; Raynor's typical greeting would be, "Hey, man," not "En Taro Adun, Executor!". ;]

Also, the city you're defending looks nothing like Antioch from OP1. Name change plis : o Finally, where is Raynor? I'm just looking at it with Campaign Editor, but I don't see him, nor do I see a trigger that creates him... I must be blind. : [

Wow, this is a really fun map. Well balanced, enough zerg attacks etc.. One thing, I died when purple started sending alot of scourges and devourers at my terran reinforcements. Is that supposed to happen? Cause fending off all of those is kinda hard.

Just wanted to let you know, the final version of this map is ready for downloads on this site.

btw Clanky, the deal with the Terran reinforcemtns is that you have to use the Siege Tanks to attack the Zerg (from the lower ground) and you have to order Wriaths and Cruisers to hold position just above the tanks, so that they can defend them. After you clear the Hydras and Spore colonies order your Cruisers to attack the Zerg hive.

Hmmmmmm.... well the breifing wasnt anything extraordinary but I guess it was average. The map has a few gliches you need to know about. For example, delete the dark archon you get in the beginning because I used mind control on one of the drones in one of the small bases and made zergs, but apparently it messed up your triggers.
