Old Mc S. C. had a poll... whee-oh-whee-oh-whoa!

How often do you play money maps?

All the time! Nothing else. (16 votes, 9%)

Most of the time. (18 votes, 10%)

Every now and then. (42 votes, 24%)

Hardly ever. (32 votes, 19%)

Never ever. (47 votes, 27%)

Whenever I'm broke! (17 votes, 10%)

For those who have forgotten, the results of last week's poll (Are money maps bad for your StarCraft playing skill?) saw most of you (65%) claim that they could damage your skill, as opposed to a few (16%) who felt that they did no damage to your playing ability.

Despite this, some of you (19%) play them quite a lot, and an extra quarter (24%) dabbling in them. Less than half of you (46%) play them rarely, if at all.

Some comments from last week:

[...] since i started playing BW, i *try* to play Non-money maps only, but i cant host, and sadly, most hosts out there are money maps!

I hardyly ever play money maps they tend to not show your true skill level and have very easy ways to win.

Who put that one vote on "Most of the time"? That's right! I did it! You see it here folks; Ima fastest map player, been one for years, and I'm not afraid to say it :D

Every now and then I guess, if I'm bored and just want a quick game.

Oooooh lookie here! I found a biased news post!

"This week we look for your insight on another battle.net issue..."

That means Schwitzer himself thinks that money maps are a Battle.Net issue!!

But I never was that picky anyway, i'm just observant

"Old Mc S. C. had a poll... whee-oh-whee-oh-whoa!"
Starcraft.Org is always good for a luagh

Let's use math shall we?

Starcraft.org is great, there's no debate about this.
But are Money maps any good? Let's see...

SC.org = X
Money Maps = Y

1. X = Teh Pwn
2. X =/= Y
Thus,
3. Y =/= Teh Pwn

See? even math can prove money maps suck

I play money maps there and then, only to bash noobs who like playing them.

Honestly, I played money maps when I was noob. I relize the only way to get better is to play normal maps.

wow SuiCidAlKiSmEt gots it right, let us bash the newbs in fastest, then Ask if they would rather play a normal map instead,
THEN BASH THE NOOBS AGAIN!!! LOL

Its funny how so many people on starcraft.org talk about how money maps ruin your skill, yet soo many people...SOO many people still play money maps every chance they get,
(*sniff sniff*) i miss the days when money maps didnt exist,
Ahh those were the dayz.....

Well seeing as Starcraft.Org doesn't represent all of the Starcraft players, I wouldn't be surprised if things that are stated here a actually different out the on Battle.Net. In general, the Starcraft.Org community don't pay much attention to money maps, but there are still players here that do.

Hey go right ahead, bash the "n00bs" but make sure you don't bash the "newbs." We were all at that stage at one point or another.
