Way back a long, long time ago - Starcraft.org had a little mentioned Editorial section. Today we're restoring this section to the site. Rather than the recently added Editorial section for StarCraft II, which features articles written by T-Dawg and myself at the moment, revolving around SC2 itself, various features and functions, and experiences with it - the section I speak of is going to be the home to generic articles dealing with Blizzard Entertainment, as well as an opportunity for you our visitors to voice your own opinions.

If you feel strongly on an issue in the Blizzard gaming world, or even possibly in gaming in general, and are able to express that in a well written form, we'd like to give you the place to express those thoughts and share them with others. So.. dust off those keys and get to work! We'll be accepting all submissions at a new SC.org email address specific for review, which will be provided shortly.

I invite you to visit the section as it evolves, but to help kick it off, I have written and added an Editorial of my own: The Origins of Blizzard Gaming.

Included therein are countless images and resources from all of the games Blizzard made prior to WarCraft and StarCraft. Anyhow, sound off and let us know what you think!

Well well... I've always wondered what Blizzard had done before WC 1, especially when I some time ago stumbled upon a very old SNES ROM titled "BlackThorne", just imagine my surprise when I saw Blizzard's logo when the game started to load...

Of all the games mentioned, I've played about half of 'em, and have never even heard of the rest. The Lost Vikings is probably the only one I've finished (Well, I've played a couple of matches in Battle Chess if that counts), it's so legendary words can't describe it : P

I've seen the Silicon & Synapse logo somewhere too, that Chaos studios logo doesn't ring a single bell... Strange :/

Anyways, keep it up with the Editorials!

The Lost Vikings and BlackThorne were my favorites - fun games, perfect in every detail.

I hope Nintendo releases these on the virtual console. They sound pretty cool.
