Today, after days of waiting, TeamLiquid announced the TeamLiquid StarLeague.

Here's a quick overview in slide format of how TSL will work.

Basically you need to create a new iCCup account, and join the TSL iCCup Team over HERE. Note that you CANNOT transfer stats, share accounts, abuse in any way, or be from Korea. In our view one of the best features of this tournament is that it will be availible for everyone. That is something very few tournaments with prizes of this caliber even try to do.

To instantly qualify for the final tournament, you need to be in the top 16 of the team. Those outside of the top 16, will have to face off against others in the same group placement (#17 - #48) to reach the final tournament. In other words, 32 players will be in the final tournament.

Now, the prices!
1st: $5,000
2nd: $2,000
3rd: $1,000
4th: $500
5th-8th: $250
9th-16th: $100

So far there has been no tournament besides the World Cyber Games which has provided larger prizes for foreigners (foreigners = people outside of Korea). Also at stake here will be a certain amount of bragging rights and reputation for those placing in this .. since there is expected to be coverage unlike any other similar events to date.

Let's do our best to make this event big! You need to have the iCCup Launcher, Maps, and Server File to play, and of course, an account which you receive by registering on the site. Before you play, however, you need to join the TeamLiquid StarLeague Team which I gave a link to earlier. You can get all the things you need to play on iCCup over HERE. I, too, will give it a shot.
