PREVIOUS ZVZ WAS DELETED BEFORE OF ITS FLAWS

- Mainly based on lost temple -

In the world of starcraft, there is no such thing as a sure win strategy. Why? because everything can happen. Why am i calling this a sure win strategy? because if you get rushed in the beginning you are fucked. HOWEVER If you can last more than 5 minutes, its sure win!!.

THIS IS A ONE VERUS ONE STRATEGY

> First off, i never like rushes. I always tend to get offensive right away, meaning i don't build sunkens cause i think they are a waste of minerals. I always get raped by the zealot rush, even if i get a lot of zerglings and a few just-made hydralisks, i still cannot defend against a really pro zealot rush. So what should i do? after experimenting i have created the ulimate strategy against protoss.

So whats the strategy? well.. this is the idea behind it. You lure your enemy into your base and you attack their base directly.. don't understand? don't worry, here i go:

- 1 - 4 drones: mine -
- create drone -
- send overlord to scout -
create drones until 9/9
- create overlord -
- send overlord to scout if you haven't found him yet -
- create 10 and 11 drone -
- make 10th drone into pool, send 11th drone to an free mineral starting spot (one of the 4 starting bases) -
(HIT THE 2 MINUTE MARK)
- make hatchery out of 11th drone -
- make 12, 13, 14 drone -
- send to minerals -

By this point you should have 1 hatchery, 1 transforming hatchery, one pool, and 12 drones on the minerals. By this time the protoss will probably have around 4 zealots.

- create 15th drone -
- send 15th drone to an free mineral starting spot (one of the 4 starting bases)-
- create 16th drone -
- make 16th drone into extractor -
(HIT THE 3 MINUTE MARK)
- make 15th drone into hatchery (probably just got there)
- create 3 more drones (17th, 18th, 19th) and send to extractor -
- create 20th another drone -
- make it into Evolution Chamber -
(HIT THE 4 MINUTE MARK)

- UPGRADE GROUND CARAPACE AND METABOLIC BOOST -

** for the previous section i forgot to mention about your expansions. create 4-6 drones per each expansions

(HIT THE 5 MINUTE MARK)

Now you start pumping zerglings from the hatcheries to the CENTER OF THE MAP!!! Yes, no one ever checks the center of the map. keep pumping them...!!










*******************(HIT THE 6 MINUTE MARK)*******************









--------- THEY ATTACK ---------

ok, by this time, the protoss should attack one of your 3 bases. Really, the bases are seperated so far apart so it will give you time. When one of the bases fall, don't worry about it. Always this is what you do!

when the protoss attack one of your three bases, send all your zerglings to the enemy base (keep pumping). At most there will be 2 zealots and 2 photon cannons. Expect the zealots/dragoons to come back and try to save their base. Remember how i told you to keep building zerglings? each base has 3 larves, each larve gives out 2 zerglings. which means right now there is another 18 zergling in the middle of the map. Send theses 18 zerglings to attack the zealots that are trying to run back to their base.

You know it is impossible for them to have another base because you already took them =P.

--------- THEY DON'T ATTACK ---------

seriously, just keep pumping zerglings and drones. You have 3 bases while they probably have only 2. REMEMBER TO KEEP UPGRADING!!! If the game lasts for a long time, get more bases. Keep upgrading the zerglings and then make ultralisks when you can. Ultralisks + crackling combo is very deadly. if they have high templars, look at other zerg strategies on how to deal with that.

--------- THEY FOUND MY ARMY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MAP ---------

kill them, you probably have more units than them anyway. just remember, to keep pumping zerglings out.

--------- THEY HAVE FLIERS ---------

you mean scouts? its impossible for them to have carriers that early in the game. If they do, attack their base since they probably have bad ground units. ignore the carriers.

----- ITS BEEN 20 MINUTES AND THEY STILL HAVEN'T ATTACKED -----

What are you waiting for? attacking him then. You probably took all the bases by then anyway. And check to see if they took the islands, if so, transport zerglings over.

ok...here it goes:
1st--in ur strat u said:make 15th drone into creep colony, then Spore Colony -HOW? u need the ev. chamber before that....and u´re supossed to make it in the 20th drone?!?!
2nd-- any decent zerg player will spawn at least 8 lings, which will send directly to ur base with the mutas, that´ll definetely spot ur "growing" lings on the center of the map, and u don´t want that.
3- u actually said the 2nd way of play in ZvZ, not something unique or anything.....and the mutas take the shit out of lings
Correct if i´m wrong i´m not that good on ZvZ.

indeed, this is flawed. The thing is, the goal is not exactly to get fastest possible mutas, its to get faster mutas than your opponent. And they WILL notice your way of playing real soon, and they will beat it too, they'll just make lings, some sunkens, and thats that. When your lings come he will have mutas and its over, you cant beat it then.

Though this might work if you hide it well and so on, mainly against less experienced players though

I have to agree with ahzz and xerox, but I think that as far as writing strategies goes, this is really well done. What you want to avoid, is trying to come up with an original strategy that people won't expect, because there's not much suprise in starcraft when you're playing against a good scout. Especially a good scout with a bunch of overlords.

im amazed, I didnt approve this one but you changed the content to the not approved one. well, whatever. It really doesn't work like you say unless you play against an greatly inferior player. the previous one at least had a chance of working

Hmm, I think this strategy was meant for ZvP, the way he said he's "created the ulimate strategy against protoss." And pumping out zerglings is NOT a sure win strategy. What happens if he blocks the ramp with two zealots? Your zerglings will go in and die 2 at a time, really fast if there's ranged support from behind. What happens if the dude makes anti-lings (like archons)? Also, this strategy counts on the fact that your mass zerglings will defeat the opponent as he attacks you. What if he kills you first? Or if you are not able to penetrate his base? I think this strategy can be a working one; it just needs some expanding. Of course, I'm a noob, so I wouldn't know...
