But I'm guessing from the chronological order of the comments (Dont work, work, don't work, work...) that they might not be always in working order. #15. Posted on June 06, 2008 08:09 PM. Baneling is an interesting idea. It most certainly is very...Zergy. Essentially, it's the infested Terran - but now we can actually get them, and mass produce. (Infesting a command center is such a pain to do as a strat, if anything, you would do it whilst you're killing your enemy anyway, to no avail). It seems interesting, I just don't want to see it become a cheap strat or anything as such. Atm, units are appearing very...killable...easily... in SC2. I'm sure the final product ... #29. Posted on May 04, 2008 12:19 AM. Nonono, I don't think it'll die at all. A few reasons. For one, it's not like this site has to become www.starcraft2.org, to ensure popularity. Starcraft is the franchise, and therefore SC.org should encompass SC1 and SC2. I would imagine, though, that the site would take on a more predominantly SC2 oriented feel. #36. Posted on March 04, 2008 02:10 AM. Ok, I rush quite a lot if I get Zerg (I'm an LT player), and I can vouch for this generally not working. Personally, I always use the 50 minerals @ the start for an extra drone, then save for the 200 for a spawning pool. I might be wrong, and your method (not spending the minerals) could be faster. I will have to test both, I suppose. However, killing 4-8 probes? Un-likely. Presuming you choose correct targets for the Zerglings once they're in there, the movement of the probes in gener ... Ahh, to be honest, I was CONSIDERING listening to these, but upon some pondering, I figured that the amount of SC2 content would be minimal, and the amount of the other junk (Warcrap, Diablo), would be through the roof. #39. Posted on February 08, 2008 12:50 AM. Ah, I see. Good choice doing that. I am actually quite glad it only supports 1.15.1, it's nice to see a current mod out there. All the other ones are like 1.14 or something, and the bother of getting a SC version of that is quite...well...bothersome. So I don't do it. As a reccomendation from a limited mod-user, if it is possible, keeping mods current with the latest SC version is rather essential. For me, at least, and anyone who uses mods limitedly, like me. They could have left the original tank, and I DOUBT that there would have been any complaints. And now we get a new tank to replace it. However, you could also take into account different methods of defining lines and circles, for example, in the polar plane, they are always drawn up from start to end within a range. But I am unfamiliar with the notation you used for a line, ABC. I would think this to be a triangle, and a line would be AB, for example. Unless you made a mistake. There is a degrreee of...shall I say... uncertainty... in "spells", almost randomness. By keeping them to a minimum, they can actually be used in skillful ways, rather then just being spammed everywhere. And so on and so on. If you SERIOUSLY try to make logical reasons why an entire battlecruiser is worth 6 marines/scvs/firebats, then you just don't know much about Starcraft, or are just plain stupid. Seeing as it is, a figure of speech, it depends upon how you decide to use it. Whatever suits your style, really. Ie. -------- OMG! They're miles/lighyears ahead of us! OMG! #63. Posted on December 08, 2007 03:03 AM. Okok, Zerg can't have a Battlecruiser/Carrier equivelant, and I'm sure you can see why. It defeats the purpose of....Zerg. You know, tonnes of really small, weak units flooding something. A unit like that, or any really "strong" unit, for that matter, wouldn't work. I absolutely hate it in other RTS games, such as Warcrap, World In Conflict, ect... where the units slow down to accomadate, this absolutely murders your micro. It has SEVEN races. That's right, seven. And, it does it EXTREMELY well, making DOW one of the most popular RTSs to date (naturally, SC is better =D ). Baneling - As shown in the first video of SC2 (ie. the Protoss gameplay trailer), zerglings can morph into "banelings", similar to how hydralisks can morph into lurkers. They go into an egg, then come out banelings. Banelings appear (key word) to "roll" around, and are suicidal creatures, simply ramming into something and exploding. Though I don't remember seeing a marine use a grendade, hydras can melle because they have long sythes ( I think I spelt that right). That's just logical, really. All we know is that they appear somewhere, and Zerg units can come out of them. Anything beyond that is speculation. Though, I'd speculate they're just a nydus canal replacement. Starcraft Tilesets is like a collection of "tiles". Like, one tile can have dirt on it, another a plant, another water, ect... Then you put them all together to make stuff. It is a community site, run by the people (apart from serious admin things =D), and because of this, we deal in everything to do with Starcraft GAMEPLAY. So, gameplay means things like maps, strats, ect.. We have news too! Just not a whole site devoted to it, like SCLegacy. I don't like SCLegacy that much. It is too....non-friendly towards the people. Now back to the scout and wraith thing. For the price of 1 scout, you could get 2 wraiths. Also, wraiths have cloak, and same anti-air attack as scouts. Therefore, wraiths are the superior option.
