Kewl! Nice detail for its cockpit(?) and fuselage(?). But the sphere-thingy on the wing pylon looks queer. No texture? DAMN! Good but borderline EXP! PS. I thought that ball-thing was the cockpit, then I saw those small windows. Forgive the n00b question, but do Protoss still need windows to see if they can use their uber-leet psychic powers? ...

hahaha... yeah.. i art noob in animating... how exactly do you make the head move independantly from the neck? I couldn't find a tut to help me aside from armature, which rapes my PC. This is why I like modelling terrans 'cause they have nice, well defined parts. PS. or maybe i could hide that part in shadow? I dunno... just thinking out loud. ...

Wow, thanks! I'll gladly attempt a short comic, but i pretty much run on short batteries. That's why most of my artwork never take me longer than an hour or less. Longer than that then I mess it up and end up throwing it away... I'm trying to be more dedicated, but old habits die hard. I just need some more ammo. Lolz an EMP wouldn't trigger a nuke. It can only shut down the nuke's guidance systems. also, it wouldn't detonate because the uranium core won't be able to start the chain reaction. Oh yeah, almost forgot. a nuke WILL detonate indiscrimanately if its fuel tank is ruptured (ie. a grenade). But who would be crazy enough to store a nuke loaded with fuel? Oops. sorry maybe i wasn't clear on my PS. I meant the scout's air-to-air missiles. Still, Nukes stored in BCs are inert so they wouldn't detonate even if you kicked 'em. Or blew them up w/ a grenade. The uranium core has to be hit by an electron stream to actually cause a chain reaction, thereby causing an explosion. Also, nukes don't actually hit the ground. They explode around 100 above the ground and the blast does the rest. The stronger winds on the upper atmosphere help spread the fa ...

Thanks, Champ! I couldn't figure out how to put italics in here. The Ghost's dialogue should've been formatted in small caps and the Marine's speech was supposed to be entirely italicized. The first is very accurate and the shape is also great. The second one, though accurate, is less smoother. If you look closely, its front part is too angular whence the sprite has it smooth and spherical. also, it looks bigger in relation to the back part than in your first sketch, though that may just be perspective. It's still great for a non-referenced sketch (the second one, i mean). I can't decide wether Good or EXP but i already clicked EXP looking forward to your Protoss warrior ...

Nice sketch. I like the way your style has improved. Some parts are not really that accurate but it's instantly recognizable. Problem is with the lines, well at least some of them. They seem to be wobbly (ie. the visor) and the feet could use some more work. the left hand seems to be smaller than the right and the Gauss rifle's pistol grip is queer. But then... Again, I commend your shading (especially on the shoulders)! Gives it a rough, grainy texture. All in all I think it's worth ...

oh... wow... a nose. :/ It's not very accurate but I see you made this in school... while you were bored... okay... Well... He's a bit chubby. If you want to draw a protoss, any kind of protoss, please don't make a nose... or a mouth. I can forgive the thumb and feet problems MoH mentioned above, but not a nose... or mouth. On it's own, this is a pretty nice sketch! BUT... it's a far cry from what a real (in a starcraft kinda way) valkyrie looks like. If you look at the Terran ending cinematic in brood war, you'll get a closer view of a Valkyrie, from behind though. the wings are wrong. the fins on the wingtips must extend to the bottom and point slightly towards each other. I think the cockpit is a bit off too, but it may just be my own concieving of what a valkyrie cockpit looks like. It's also a bit ...

CREEEPY... Very... Nicely written though. OLM pretty much summed it up. Not so resident evil-esque actually IMO. It lacks the crappy/cheesy dialogue and repetative hand gesturing. problem: Cpl. Rice's name in the first part is Alan Edgar Rice. By the closing parts, his name transforms into Edgar Allen Rice. Is he a DT? Right now, it's pretty much an EXP but for the unfinished areas. Shading, though, is excellent. IMO he looks like he's casting a spell. Maybe you could add a Khaydarin crystal and make it look like he's using it (I dunno for what). but that's just my opinion. Excellent work(in-progress)! P.S. is that a shield? ...

DAMN..! Sweet model! I still can't model stuff that actually look mechanical! Is the secret in the textures or what? Nevermind my rambling! This model is extremely faithful to the SCG design! You've managed a story in a memorandum format filled with distinct characters and have described them sufficiently without getting bogged down and losing the reader. Glad to see Ep. 2 is out. Better this time. The narrative is good, much better than the previous one! I don't know about the idea of a Zerg conqueror, though. Aren't the Zerg supposed to be a swarm collective? Is Polion a cerebrate, or another Genex? But it does sound interesting. Still, there remain some errors but most of them are trivial. keep it up! the new heroes are fine with me. finally unique models. at least it won't be teal dot in a red sea anymore. maybe some differences in armor config as long as they're just the same size and not too flashy. What if the campaign heroes were like in DoW: Dark Crusade? Someone already said it before, you can buy them improved armor or weapons using the money you win in between missions. AND... It'll alter their player model so that the more gear you get them, the more awesome they'll look. ( ...

Thanks for the feedback! I dunno if I'll be able to finish this series 'cause my pc got reformatted and all my stuff is gone. I'm currently trying to rewrite the next twelve chapters from scratch. Being short is okay. Besides, I see this is just a prologue. The plot is good (biological warfare and all that) but the storytelling could be better. I dunno about hair since it seems impractical; not so stealthy if you had a braid of hair following you around or getting snagged on branches and stuff. DD Hmm... I made the firebat "rook" because i think of it as a strong, single minded (moves only straight) shock troop type of piece. For me, "knights" and "bishops" are tactically-sound (moves diagonally or to the side instead of rushing headlong). But I'm thinking about it... Thanks! thanks! actually i have several models of other units: a zergling, a firebat and an SCV. but i haven't submitted them yet because i'm still not happy with how they turned out. for me, the Zergling was the hardest to model, unlike marines and SCVs. thanks though and I'll try to expand my horizons. ...

Thanks for the feedback! I tried to make the water turbulent because of all the armored bodies thrashing around, but i gues i just screwed it up badly. The tutorial was nice, though me in my noob blender mode found it hard to understand. even when i followed every instruction, it doesn't mimic the effect i saw on the screenshot. The ground texture was stretched (I don't know why) when I resized the base plane to make a corridor. maybe it's because the texture image of a steel floor i used was small. The shadow was another noob mistake I made. The body of the second marine was actually rotated a bit to the right. so that the light would hit the wall; but i made the lamp weak so that it wouldn't disrupt the picture. But the modeling and texture stuff was kinda left out so i had to use tutorials from the 'net.
