#1. Posted on July 26, 2006 03:02 PM. After 5 or 6 years of playing StarCraft, Zealot rushes still strike intense fear into my heart. Zerglings? Pah! Pathetic little buggers. Probably the worst unit in the game. Marines? Admirable. Their air/ground attack is useful, and they are useful even after you get higher tier units. The Zealot? Most used first-level unit in later stages of the game. One zealot can slaughter Zerglings and kill at least two marines, so they're more cost-efficient than the other two. They can take a beating, hav ... Click here to view this comment. |

#2. Posted on July 12, 2006 08:32 PM. High Templar, hands down. I can't tell you how many times I've had a huge army at a choke point, or a fleet in a pretty clustered formation, and all of a sudden *CRACK KKKRRKRKRK CRACKLE* and there goes my whole goddang army/fleet. You can go on about the amount of spells, or usefulness of said spells, but High Templars are the most used, most usefull, and most effective. Really though, Arbiters should be on here. No one uses them to actually fight, so they pretty much are spellcaste ... Click here to view this comment. |

#5. Posted on February 27, 2006 07:39 PM. We here at the VGCASA feel that all of you must be informed that smoking is a very serious issue for video game characters! You saw that MGS 4 trailer; Snake's smoker's cough nearly got him killed! Just watch, MGS 5 will have him sneaking around with an oxygen tank trailer behind him! Stukov smoked! Had he not been brutally murdered by a friend of his, I'm sure he would have died in a freak accident involving him and a firebat with a faulty fuel container! The Master Chief in Halo? Always ... #7. Posted on January 29, 2006 12:12 PM. Really, it only matters if you play them too much. You can easily spot someone who plays too many money map games when they're sitting there with a hajillion factories and buildings, 12 battlecruisers, a handful of defenses, and they're all out of minerals, sitting there saying "d00d this map sux. it gots no resorces." ... #11. Posted on August 20, 2005 01:43 PM. [Obligatory acronym expressing amusement] How is that publicly humiliating? I'd find the event hilarious, then enjoy the publicity. I could theoretically play WoW as long as I would like (there are advantages to not being a punk-ass little kid) but I just don't have a computer that could run the stupid thing. Or the money to get one. So... bollocks. ... Click here to view this comment. |

#12. Posted on August 18, 2005 07:49 AM. Kerrigan was annoying when she was not infested, and she's slightly cooler infested, but still annoying. Anyway, I just wanted to echo the "bring Fenix Tassadar and Zasz back" statement. While it would be stupid to bring any of them back, I still miss 'em. ... Click here to view this comment. |

#13. Posted on August 14, 2005 12:43 PM. The Maker, you're a retard. The DO make a patch for all known bugs and glitches. Oh wait, the morph hack wasn't known, that's why it was included in the patch before this. The EUD triggers weren't a problem before this, which is why this patch is out NOW. If they left it the way it is, you'd be vulnerable to a whole slew of stuff that Blizzard didn't care to fix when it came up. Plus, this are small patches. Big deal, you have to spend a whole 30 seconds installing the patch. Wow. ... Click here to view this comment. |

#14. Posted on August 13, 2005 01:05 PM. Except, see, Blizzard has what's known as "multiple franchises", and they owe their dedication to more than one thing. So I think that Blizzard even gives a damn about StarCraft is a very lucky thing indeed. ... Click here to view this comment. |

#16. Posted on July 31, 2005 03:22 PM. I'd want StarCraft 2, but not if they're gonna screw over the graphics like they did in WarCraft 3. Sure, the graphics are 3D and require more hardware in WC3, but it looks like crap. I tried playing WC3, and I kept wanting to go back to the sprite graphics, which is really odd for me. I ended up quitting playing it because it looked so bad. ... Click here to view this comment. |

#17. Posted on July 14, 2005 10:44 AM. TerranMarine: Because this is a poll for the whole of StarCraft.org. It isn't asking, "If you think there is a newb race, which one would you pick?" They're bothering because their opinion is of the same value as it is for any other poll at any other time. If they felt like participating in a poll at all, why would they NOT take place just because they have a certain opinion? ... Click here to view this comment. |

#18. Posted on July 11, 2005 07:42 PM. isn't it crazy how people think they can type on and on and on and eventually end up writing and entire paragraph they even end up starting entirely new sentences frequently they also use such unnecessary abbreviations like u or r or whatever see this is going on and on much like other posts and yet there is a complete lack of punctuation thus making the post totally not worth reading ... #19. Posted on July 11, 2005 07:16 PM. What a dumb poll. Comparably, all of StarCraft's races are terribly simple. You can play any recently-released RTS and find much more complex races, but, as StarCraft demonstrates, its how everything balances out that counts. StarCraft has simple races, but as complex tactics as you'll find in any current-gen RTS. Sometimes I find myself watching great-graphics infantry and tanks battling it out with other great-graphics infantry and tanks in Rise of Nations, and yet I still have this urge ... #22. Posted on May 26, 2005 05:34 PM. As mentioned in the beginning of this poll, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion has my entire ability to anticipate anything by the balls. Gears of War looks mighty nice too. And Star Wars: Battlefront II. Now, StarCraft: Ghost. On the one hand, its gotta be mostly a stealth game. Bad news right there. I don't think some barely known developer like Swingin' Ape can beat the sheer level of Fun that Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory has. And, judging from the new gameplay videos, it won't even be able to ... Click here to view this comment. |

#25. Posted on May 20, 2005 02:15 PM. First of all, there is no way it could ever show its face on the 360. I saw the new footage, and it looks iffy. There's been better on the current Xbox. If it was on the 360, a gamer looking for something to buy would laugh his ass off at the prospect of buying Ghost for his 360, then he'd go end up buying something like Gears of War or Elder Scrolls IV. Since the graphics are decent, and there's absolutely no blood (at least from what I saw) Ghost better deliver gameplay-wise. Secondly, ther ... Click here to view this comment. |

#26. Posted on May 18, 2005 06:30 PM. Sweet! Gamespot updated about half an hour ago, with some StarCraft: Ghost footage and a movie! Checkit out: http://www.gamespot.com/xbox/action/starcraftghost/index.html Now, personally, I hope Ghost has a whole lot of tricks and gadgets and other fun stuff up its sleave, because the stealth genre standard bar of expectations has been raised quite a bit since Ghost was announced. #28. Posted on May 02, 2005 02:08 PM. Wow, this next poll outta be way over on the "Friggin' Duh!" side of the spectrum. I mean, players can learn the map by PLAYING on it, and improving a map isn't a big deal. They can take the basic structure of the map and reconstruct it, no big deal. The important thing is not having your map stolen. The choice this time around is so obvious it could almost slap you. ... Click here to view this comment. |

#31. Posted on February 27, 2005 06:19 PM. Overlord. Zerglings, Queens, and whatall can't detect and can't see as far. The only real diffences between the Observer and Overlord is the cost, supply, and cloaking. All the other Zerg units have multiple differences. For example, the Queen can do spells. Can the Observer do spells? No. The Zergling can't fly. The Scourge is neither cloaked nor a detector. The only reason people would vote for anything besides Overlord is if they got the question mixed up with something else. Snot over th ... Click here to view this comment. |
